To see ourselves as others see us is a most salutary gift.
Hardly less important is the capacity to see others as they see themselves.
Aldous Huxley, The Doors of Perception, 1954
Sometimes I struggle to find a photograph that goes with the quote. Which is a real nuisance as I do like to add images to the quotes, it’s part of the fun of doing the site. As a result I still have a collection of quotes, unpublished, for which I cannot seem to find a satisfactory image. Or at least not yet.
On the other hand, sometimes the image actually adds to the quote. Here it reminded me that each person I know will probably see me differently. As if each see me through their own individual looking glass.
And besides, I do love this photograph.
